You *cannot* just use the same ftp address as a previous/different show upload. In the current system, the server number will change for each show, and sometimes for the same show after an item has been around a while. You must follow the instructions (including the server given) for the particular upload. Please don't upload to a random server number.

The easiest way to work with your item now is probably to check it in as if you were done uploading for now. I think you can go item details page> edit item> item manager> checkin or if that gives and error message, try this link: http://www.archive.org/checkin/zindu2006-06-17.flac16

This will let you have a fresh start at getting the instructions: After a few minutes, go item details page> edit item> item manager> checkout and you will see them including which server number to use.

Hang in there, it's a bit of a learning curve on this new system. Thanks for the tunes!

So I reuploaded the files to the correct server and the files are there, but it still does not allow mp3, ogg...etc. I am sure that I checked it in as well as edited it correctly. Is it just a waiting game at this point?

Hi,

The deriver only runs automatically when you first create an item and check the files in. If you check the item out later, add files, and check it back in, you have to tell the deriver to run.

Click Edit item > Item Manager and then click the "derive" button. It will take several hours to finish processing the files.

Thanks,

Alexis
